The Literacy Workshop Mail List

Literacy Workshop sponsors an ongoing list discussion among educators who work with struggling readers & writers in grades 4-8 and have an interest in workshop strategies. Our conversation has been guided, in part, by the classroom journals of Juli Kendall. Juli moderated the list for four years and then turned her moderating duties over to middle school teacher Bill Ivey. Many of the resources provided by Juli and other list members can be accessed from our resources page.

How the List Works

• Only registered members can post messages to the list.
• Messages to the list are sent to individual member email accounts.
• Members manage their profile which includes the choice of receiving email in real-time or as a consolidated digest version sent once each day.
• A reminder is sent out at the start of each month to help list members manage their membership.
• All messages are archived by month. A new searchable archive was added in fall 2006.
