Hi Dave,

I've been familarizing myself with textmapping this summer. (Your site is 
wonderful!!)

Our geography textbook is quite difficult for my 6th graders to get a handle 
on. So...here is what I plan on doing. We have some textbooks that fell 
apart (and were replaced). I'm going to cut out a section and place it on 
banner paper and then laminate it...so the kids can write on them with expo 
markers. (I plan on making several of these).

During class, I will put the kids in groups and give each group a scroll to 
look at and write on while I do whole group instruction on how to use the 
textbook.

We will, of course, be using other scrolls throughout the year. I can't wait 
to see how this works!
