[LIT] books for 6th graders who are cognitively low

Bill,
Try any books by Beverly Cleary, Judy Blume or Betsy Byars. Although I am supposed to teach kids with average Iqs (90-100) I often teach reading to kids with 80 IQs and find these authors make books that are more appropriate for them.
