[LIT] Science and Literature: Literacy objective

I second that emotion.  I saw Kylene Beers three days during the year and
then went to her summer Adolescent Literacy Institute at Yale, with  math,
social studies, and special ed teachers from our school and they were
totally transformed!  We bought "When Kids Can't Read" for our whole school.
Everyone is abuzz about looking at reading comprehension across the subject
areas.  She is great! Also, she is coming out with a new book and has some
new research, so the materials you get from the workshop are in addition to
what is in When Kids Can't Read.
