[LIT] vacation reading

I just finished Don't Teach the Canaries Not to Sing...loved it as it  
affirmed everything I believe in terms of culture driving learning.
 
Just started, and almost finished...Less is More: Teaching Literature with  
Short Texts...also a keeper as it makes introducing rigor and relevance 
possible  even for those student who don't have the reading stamina to tackle full 
length  novels.
 
For fun, I hope Santa brings the newest Patterson!
