real reading strategies!!!!  sounds like my twin.  :)  i am  an FCAT reading 
teacher and refuse to 'teach to the test'.  i teach real  reading strategies 
all year long until just before winter break, when we begin  to talk about how 
they apply to FCAT.  of course, i work with my students  directly regarding 
the standardized test they are about to take in march....but  authentic reading 
strategies...i love it!  :)
