[LIT] Middle School Picture Book Request

Our favorite author to explore is Eve Bunting.  Her books tackle tough
subjects:  homelessness, riots, war, gangs, death divorce, immigration,  in
a very graceful way.  There are no magial solutions in her books, but they
always leave the reader hopeful.  The kids learn her patterens quickly and
search for symbols and metaphors.  They brought up great discussions and
more than once great responses.  I started out with Rudi's Pond, and Fly
Away Home.  Riding the Tiger brought on a 30 minute discussion.
