Subject: [LIT] Change through the eyes of children
Hello,
Thank you all for you responses to my "what's flying off of your shelves"
question. I have just one more ...
I am trying to put together a list of YA books with the following theme:
Change through the eyes of children. For example, The Diary of Ann Frank is
about the Holcaust told by, obviously, Ann Frank. Tree Girl is a story
about the brutal military massacres that happened in Central America during
the early 1980s, told from the point of view of Gabriela. The Watsons Go To
Birmingham is about the Civil Rights Movement and the church bombings in
Alabama.
Can you think of others?
Kim
