by the way, have you seen the ELA frameworks for middle school on the dept. of educ. (ga) website? it's very nice, and there are a lot of resources available. if you have trouble finding them, email me. you can go to gastandards.org , click on the icon for LA and you'll find all sorts of neat tasks--stuff i've never even thought about doing.
