[LIT] Assessments... How Many?

  In Maine we have a state test in March for grades 5-8 in reading and math. They also take science and writing in grade 8. Our district has NWEA testing in October and May. We have local common assessments by department usually about 3-5 a year.

mini-assessments every 4 1/2 weeks
VOCATS for all 7th and 8th graders taking computer classes

8th Grade only has an on-line, state mandated computer skills test
