I'm just finishing up The Outsiders with a group. I found a unit online that
has students explore the idea of "identity" - their own and that of the main
characters. I usually find material online and then change it to suit my
needs, but I've used most of this unit as it was presented and the kids
loved it.
The unit can be found at:

Subject: [LIT] The Outsiders Suggestions
We are nearing the end of the year with 'The Outsiders' left to read.
Unfortunately many of our students have read the book already, and with it
being a requirement, I would like to teach it in the most engaging way
possible (this will be the first time I've taught this book). I would love
suggestions that would help me keep those involved who have read the book
already.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
