[LIT] 8th grade lit circle books

Seed Folk, The Tarantula in My Purse, Chicken Soup for The Pre-Teen Soul and Bronx Masquerade. Most of these books are meant to expose students to multiculturalism and if you are in a multicultural or title one school it will be high interest for the kids because it hits closer to home.

Lowis Lowry's "Giver" is a great read for 8th grade. It is the only book
I use as a grade level lit group in my multi-age class. Yes, younger kids
read it and like it but the 8th graders are more likely to "get" it!
Zusak's "The Book Thief" for you more sophisticated readers.
